Captain - Geoff Parsons - British

Captain - Geoff Parsons - British
Geoff spent the first ten years of his life in Brazil, beofre being educated at Bedford School in England. On leaving school, he trained as a marine engineer and worked in Europe, several African countries as well as South, Central and North America. His interest and amateur involvement in motor cycle and motor racing at the time led him into the racing engine industry and he became involved in the building of Formula 1, 2 and 3 racing engines, working for the well known manufacturer Cosworth, before forming his own company. It was whilst building Formula 1 engines in South Africa, Brazil and Argentina that business and built his first yacht, a 34 foot sloop to a Roberts design. Since 1974, Geoff has built and chartered foru yachts., of wich the last two were his own design. his charter areas have included most of the Mediterranean, Northern Europe and the Atlantic Islands of the Azores, Madeira and the Canaries, as well as thte Caribbean.

Geoff is a fully qqualified British DOT and RYA Commercial Yachtmaster and has sailed well over 150,000 sea miles. His love of sailing and extensive knowledge of the various cruising grounds visited will ensure that guests enjoy a memorable holiday. Geoff is a non-smoker and speaks fluent Portuguese as well as some Spanish and French.

Chef - Alison Tolley - Australian
Following and education in Canberra, Australia, Alison served a 4-year apprenticeship there to qualify as a chef and then worked in several high-class restaurants in the city before running the kitchens of the Australian National Art Gallery. Alison left Australia to travel the worls and subsequently worked as a chef in London restaurants for two years. Her enjoyment of the sailing on Ocean Kestrel for the last two Mediterranean seasons. She joins us again for the Caribbean and guests can look forward to her delicious, creative modern cuisine in the knowledge that, apart from her own specialties, any favourite dishes or dietary requirements can be confidently prepared. During the '99 Maramaris Charter Agents Show, Alison won the prestigous. "Chef of the Year" award. Alison is a non-smoker and her hobbies, besides sailing, include watersports, tennis and travel.

Stewardess - Stella Monaghan - British
Following an education in Norfolk, Stella went on to qualify as a beauty therapist and became a senior therapist at one of England's leading health farms. She then took up lecturing at Norwich College, teaching students all aspects of beauty therapy and personal presentation. Stella's life' long love of sailing and watersports has gained her qualifications i sailing ans scuba diving and she is a member of Stella has travelled extensiviely and sailed in many locations. She has worked as hostess on charter yachts in saAustralia and a cook on dive charter boats in the Coral Sea. Stella is a non-smoker and her interests include sailing, scuba diving, cooking, languages, travel and reading.
