CREW PROFILE
As a charter captain and instructor in the
industry for over fifteen years, Virginia has logged over
230,000 nautical miles of ocean sailing and brings a wealth of
experience with her to Moonlight II. She holds a U.S.C.G 500 ton
Ocean Masters License, a United Kingdom Class Four License, as
well as having taught celestial navigation for eight years. With
her previous background in the hospitality industry, her attention
to detail brings a strong sense of dedication and commitment to
the yachting industry, which is reflected in the level of
service provided to guests on board. Nothing but the best will
do! Sharing her love for travel and culture,
Virginia offers a wealth of knowledge and understanding of
history and life in the islands or on the ocean, which many
previous charter guests will surely enjoy.
Virginia is a warm-hearted individual possessing
a quick wit and an engaging sense of humour. This captaincy
style ensures not only the safe running of the vessel but that
fun is a major ingredient of onboard life.
ENGINEER/FIRST OFFICER JAMIE STARK
Jamie is a native of the U.S Virgin Islands and
a former resident and business owner in New England
An avid motorcyclist and formerly trained Second Level Dressage
equestrian, Jamie was also nationally recognized as a ranked competitive
swimmer in the United States.
Jamie's main roll is supporting Virginia in the
running of Moonlight II. He is also responsible for all the
mechanical condition of the vessel which he is more than
qualified and experienced to do holding two masters licenses in
the mechanical trades and business management as well as
overseeing several vessels through refit and charter
operation. Having been born on a yacht and living his
entire life by the ocean, Jamie has always had a passion for the
sea. A natural free-diver with a deep appreciation for aquatic
life, Jamie considers the ocean his second natural environment!
Jamie provides a fresh and inviting outlook to the charter yacht
industry with a charismatic charm and an "old world"
style of professional work ethics. With their individual history
and shared experience throughout the Caribbean, they are able to
provide the opportunity for adventure, fun and fond memories of
one of the best vacations of anyone's lifetime in a very safe
and luxurious environment.
