Captain John Gould and Chef Heidi Wheeler

British Captain, John Gould, served for 27 years in the Royal Navy. That service nurtured sailing, seamanship and navigational skills to a rare level of expertise. Since his retirement in 1990, John has worked in the leisure boat industry in Spain and the South of France.

Shipmate, Heidi Wheeler, is indispensable to the operation of the Ocean Adventure. Hailing from Connecticut, Heidi has had varied and interesting seagoing experiences. Apart from her journeys on the Ocean Adventure, Heidi has crossed the Atlantic on the former Cunard Queens. She also worked with many catering establishments in New England and on ships in Florida and the Bahamas.

Heidi's culinary expertise range from an English Pub lunch and American Cuisine to Native Thai and Indian dishes.
