Captain Scott Sheffel
Scott has been around boats
all of his life. Growing up in South Florida,
he had a lot of boating experience before he
became a professional captain. He has cruised
on sail and power boats all over South
Florida and the Bahamas. He is especially
familiar with the central Bahamas including
the Berry's, Nort Andros, and the Exuma
chain. Extensive cruising has also
familiarized him with many of the Out islands
including San Sal, Conception Island, Rum Cay
as well as several trips to the Turks &
Caicos.
Not only is Scott
comfortable on the larger yachts, he has
spent a lot of time racing and teaching on
16' and 21 ' catamarans. He also has
experience racing monohulls such as a
"j-30" as well as sailing the Ft.
Lauderdale-Key West Race on a "Cheoy Lee
48".
In addition to Scott's
helming abilities, he is equally comfortable
in the engine room. He worked for a yacht
management and maintenance company for years
where he was involved in many aspects of
yacht chartering. One of his strong suits
you'll enjoy out on charter is his love and
knowledge of fine wines. Very rarely does he
come back from vacation without a new vintage
he has discovered from California to Spain.
Scott also enjoys showing his guests great
spots for snorkeling and fishing. Spear
fishing is another sport Scott enjoys sharing
with his guests and he prides himself on
making a fresh catch for dinner.
When Scott wants to relax,
not only does he enjoy preparing a great meal
with fine wine, he also likes snow skiing,
golf, tennis, roller blading and volley ball.
Scott
ready smile and his attention to service will
make your charter experience one to remember
