Captain Mike & Chef Sandie
Chef Sandie and Captain Mike are
two people who truly love their work. Between
the two of them they have over 30 years of
yachting experience.
Sandie's culinary skills are
extraordinary. She is a graduate of Leiths
Culinary School of London and originally
comes from Hampshire, England. Sandie has
been entertaining and cooking for guests
aboard charter yachts since 1988 from
Gibraltar to Newport to Granada. Her zest for
fun and adventure, along with her skills in
the galley, make her a perfect member of La
Buscadora crew.
Captain Mike is very proud of his 23 years
of experience as a captain in the Caribbean
with a perfect Record for Safety. He also has
been Certified Dive Instructor for 24 years:
after hundreds of students and thousands of
dives his love of the sport and attention to
safety has never diminished. Mike's love of
all water sports is probably best shown
through his infinite patience during
instruction and participation. Mike wants
everyone to enjoy themselves as much as he
does!... Mike has been involved with La
Buscadora since 1973. Born in Chicago, he
spent his early years on the shores of Lake
Michigan.
