Welcome
Onboard Cuan Law
The crew of Cuan Law plays a
big part in bringing this impressive boat to
life. The top-notch staff is incredibly
energetic, congenial and fun to be around,
constantly attending to your needs, usually
anticipating them in advance.
Each crew member has their
individual responsibilities and tasks, but
everyone pitches in to handle moving the boat,
diving, serving meals and cleaning up. They all
work as a smooth, efficient and extremely
friendly crew. You have to figure that any boat
that has produced 14 marriages (and counting)
among crew members has to be getting along quite
well!
 Gerry Matt: Skipper
Gerry has been working aboard Cuan
Law for several years. He first joined us
in his outstanding engineering capacity.
He has always been an avid photographer,
and has brought videography as well as
photographic skills with him.
Having captained Cuan
Law now for more than one full year he is
extremely familiar with some of the best
diving and sailing in the Caribbean. He
can help you to find the unexpected, and
the best that the BVI can offer.

Tanya Wohner: Chef
Tanya is also a long serving crew
member. She came from the very busy
"Blackbeard" in Florida, and
brought her world class chef skills to
the Caribbean three years ago.
Tanya is a very keen diver, and can
regularly be found underwater along with
our guests. Her fish knowledge and dive
site expertise make her a very popular
guide as well as first class chef!

Steve Dart: Chief Diving Instructor
Although this will be Steve's first
season with Cuan Law, he has been a very
successful dive instructor here in the
BVI for over a year. He will be bringing
not only a great love for the sea, but
also the same level of guiding and
instructing skills that have made Cuan
Law famous around the world.
Steve has worked aboard charter
vessels in Australasia, and spent 3 years
teaching primary school on his way to
becoming a full time dive instructor in
the Pacific. We are very happy to have
him with us for the Millennium.

Nick
Jean-Mairet: First Mate & Second
Diving Instructor
Nick grew up in Canterbury, Kent in
England and graduated from Swansea
University with a degree in Mechanical
Engineering in 1996. After working a
stint in an office, adventure in the form
of diving & sailing in Australia
beckoned.After doing several offshore
races from Sydney, Nick arrived in Cairns
where he landed a job as a dive master on
a live-aboard on the Great Barrier Reef.
He also found time to work on a day sail
boat where he was the first mate &
engineer! After returning to the UK, and
successfully completing his Yachtmasters
Exam the next stop was Greece where Nick
was a skipper.
As you can see he will be bringing
sailing, diving & engineering skills
to help the crew & guests have an
unforgettable time aboard Cuan Law.

Bryan
Little: Engineer
Bryan is another relative newcomer,
but his engineering skills are much
longer lived. He grew up and graduated in
California with an associate degree in
1991. This was the start of a 10 year
career with Ford Motor Company as a field
technician specializing in advanced
engine controls. Away from work an
interest in SCUBA diving grew, along with
the challenge of further education.
The Los Angeles College's Business
degree program ate into dive time, but
was very rewarding. February of 1999 saw
the opportunity to travel, along with his
sister Debra. Australia and Europe were
stops on the way to Tortola & Cuan
Law!!
|
 Debra
Little: Chief Stewardess
Debra joined Cuan Law with her
brother, Bryan just a couple of months
ago, but already she has brought some of
her signature dishes to us. Ask about her
amazing cookies!
Debra has spent time living in both
Germany & Japan so is very
multi-cultural. Her travels and interest
in SCUBA have really come together aboard
Cuan Law where she is able to share her
expertise about sites & fish with the
guests.

Kim Huish: Relief Chef
Kim has been associated with
Trimarine since the days that Lammer Law
was in the BVI. She is a full time
Tortola resident who works with us in the
office as well as aboard Cuan Law during
Tanya's time off. Kim is another diver
who after so many years has some favorite
sites that she loves to share with the
guests. Her life ashore is quite busy
so welcoming and catering for 20 guests
is often a nice change of pace, if not
exactly relaxing! Having chosen the BVI
as home, it is obvious how much she loves
the place, She also has some famous
pirate stories to try and coax our
visitors to stay here & treasure hunt
instead of returning home!
|
 Maria
Eifram: Stewardess
This will be Maria's first season
with Cuan Law, having joined us from
Sweden. She initially learned of us
through a former Swedish crew member that
some of you may remember, Sara.
This is Maria's first experience
living away from home, but her warmth and
friendliness will make everyone else feel
at home as soon as they come on board.
|
Duncan Muirhead: Relief Skipper
Not much is known about this old guy
except that he turns up on board when
Gerry needs a break. It is believed that,
as he and Annie own and manage the Cuan
Law, and that as Duncan designed it, and
that as he has been sailing and diving
around the BVI for 30 years, he can be
trusted to "keep on the blue stuff
and stay away from the green and
brown."
|
| All our crew work hard to maintain
the high standard of service we are
famous for - and you will find that they
all share the work on board in an
atmosphere of informality. |
