Welcome
Onboard Adastra

Once aboard
"Ad Astra", you will be pampered by Tom
and Barbara, a young and fun loving Swiss couple
who will look after your every need.
Tom Mehli has
been in the charter business since 1989 during
which time he has occupied different positions on
various sail- and powerboats. He has acquired
almost 25000 nautical miles including
Trans-Atlantic and Trans-Pacific crossings.
As skipper of
"Ad Astra" he is looking forward to
showing you some of the most beautiful islands in
the Caribbean and taking you safely from one
lovely cove to the next.
Barbara Werdath
started her sailing career in 1990 when she built
her own boat together with her family and set
sail for the Caribbean. Her excellent cooking
skills, combined with her passion for boats, make
her a qualified crewmember and guarantee a
culinary experience you wont forget.
Whether your preference is Italian, French,
Mexican, Oriental or traditional European
cuisine, Barbara will be happy to prepare it for
you. And for the adventurous, she will tickle
your palate with some of her Caribbean dishes.
In addition to
cooking Barbara enjoys SCUBA diving and
Underwater photography. Both Tom and Barbara are
fully licensed SCUBA-Instructors with special
education in Medic-First Aid and Underwater
Biology. They will be delighted to introduce you
to the wonders of the underwater world.
Tom and Barbara
both hold a degree in business and have worked in
their field for many years. Together they speak
five different languages, which they have found
helpful in their professional and private life.
In their time
off they enjoy travelling around the world and
exploring different countries and cultures.
Besides Europe their travels have brought them
through North-, Central- and South America,
Southeast Asia and different islands in both, the
Pacific- and Indian Ocean.
They love music,
reading and contact with other people, but most
of all, they like a good time. So come along, and
give them the pleasure of serving you aboard
"Ad Astra", where Swiss hospitality
meets the magic spirit of the Caribbean.
