FULL MOON
Here is a startling fact about private family vacations. Our company always suggest that our clients try to plan their vacations during the full moon period of each month. It is just that much more romantic and etches memories into all our minds that last forever.
IMAGINE looking at the sea bed at 10 pm, to see each grain of sand on the bottom 16 feet below? The moon splashes silver across your calm lagoon illuminating the nearby islands and showing us the bottom all that way down. Unless you are locked into fixed dates for your vacation, plan a full moon into your next private cruise. Imagine if this private cruise were on your wedding night? Even with the kids. There are normally 13 full moons each year so you can watch them when planning any vacation, but especially a sailing vacation. These are the best weeks of each year. Now lets get to the best time of each year to plan for your private cruise.
SPRING:
The best time of each year in the Caribbean is Spring! May, June, July , August. These months are the only months that are 'electric' above and below the water. The explosion of little silver bullets called minnows. These little silver bullets are the low end of the food chain and bigger fish & bigger fish, & bigger fish eat them.
There are thousands of individual shoals all over the place scattering from here to there making sure that they are not eaten, all are fighting for survival, this creates so much more action underwater during Spring. There is just more to see underwater during spring. Above the water the same thing is happening, all the gulls from Argentina have flown up to the Caribbean to nest and have their young, then return to Argentina in September.
April 7, each year marks the arrival of all the hooded gulls. Above the water there are more Pelicans, all the tropical long tailed terns and other sea birds fighting for their piece of the food chain. Flocks of pelicans flying in order slowly prepare to dive bomb these terrified shoals in order, rat-tat-tat-rat-tat. It is eerie during the winter when there are no birds in the Caribbean, there seems to be no fun happening. However the whales arrive in December.
The best one week during each year in the Caribbean, is the full moon periods of these 3 months. May, June & July! These individual weeks in May, June, July, are Spring and all have this high end activity, above & below the water, all 3 have gorgeous full moons included to each week! These are the best 3 weeks in the entire year in the Caribbean and they are out of season, so rates are low. August has another phenomenon and that is the coral spawning on August 14/15 which happens only at night just after dark. This is more for scuba divers, but it is information of interest about how the coral spreads its life form. These are the very best times to be in the Virgins for your vacation.
The full moon dates of all the other
months are the next best times to be on vacation with your family
or business group. Naturally Christmas, New Year, Birthdays
and anniversaries are high points, but they are special
occasions which remain different to the dates described here.

Apprehension about sailing:
This is a true fear for many of us and there is a modern way to almost completely do away with this annoying sailing thing. himself to you, this is when your personal chef goes over the
details of your food and bar requests. All final details

By the time you meet your captain and crew, you would feel you
know them well. The first thing that gets done on boarding is to
sit down and discuss a rough itinerary, this itinerary can be
changed at any time by yourselves.
Your captain and crew are one of the most important aspects of a sailing vacation, because it is with them that you and your family are about to share your annual vacation. Normally these vacations are 7-14 days at a time, so selecting a great captain and crew really makes a difference. Magazine & web page information is limited and does not provide quality details for you to make calculated decisions. This information does not relay the age of your vessel, or the character of the captain and crew. They all say wonderful things about their products.
This is where free customized information is provided to you from our company. Be careful of companies who provide lists of 20-40 vessels to select from. As professionals it is us who need to study the industry and then suggest selected vessels for you to choose from. The best companies will normally only offer 2-3 vessels for you to consider.
