| Once yachtsmen have
completed their one week sailing vacation in the
British Virgin Islands it is magnificent to see
all your anchorage's from this dimension. This tour completes your
vacation in every way and we want every guest of
ours to enjoy this experience. The sites
are unbelievable from this height which means
that your camera is a must.
One super stop is The Skyworld where sodas, or a
snack can be enjoyed from the top of the world. Your tour
begins at Road Town, with your guide being one of
Tortola's most respected sons, Mr Reiss
Penn, who has lived on these islands all
his life.
Recently retired as one of the top
customs officials, you have a charming man who
has all the knowledge of all the islands.
Reiss answers "ALL" your questions. The population is
9,000 and the fire station is the first mentioned
highlight, then the Supreme court, the Police
Station and BVI High School, with your first stop
being the famous Botanical Gardens. Well
worth a look at foliage which is native to the
islands. Treasure Isle Hotel is the oldest hotel
in the BVI which supports all the Moorings
yachts. Up Joe's Hill and the views begin to
impress you. 5 Stops are performed on top of this
1500 feet ridge so pictures and the magnitude of
these spectacles can be absorbed. Your first stop
is a view of Gauna Island, Anegada and
Smugglers Cove. All on the Caribbean Sea Side.
Your second stop is of
the Atlantic side, where Treasure Island, Norman
Island, Peter Island,
(Amway owned) Blackbeards Island (Dead Chest.)
U.S.V.I. St John can be seen and
St Croix 40 miles away. Your major stop is
Skyworld where many pictures can be shot, enjoy a
soda or a quick bite to eat and then its back to
the tour bus. The next stop is a new horse
racing course which hosts 2 horse race meetings
each month. The views are spectacular. By
now seasoned yachtsmen will be Ooh-ing and
AAH-ing having seen all the anchorage's where
they have just been having fun.
Miss
this Tour of all your anchorage's and weep!
The next stop is one of
Jimmy Buffetts favorite beaches, Cane Garden Bay,
then on passed Bombas Shack where they have full
moon parties. You wind passed the Sage Mountain
trail then across to West End Tortola. The
tour heads along the Sir Francis Drake Highway
past Pieces of Eight and the dungeons. Fort
Burt was built on the exact place where the first
Fort was built which has original walls intact
today. Your tour completes just
after "CELL 5" this is a restaurant and
was named Cell 5 because Mr De Castro had been
jailed for political reasons and his cell number
was 5. On behalf of The Barrington-Hall
Corporation we know what an impact this
particular tour will have on
Yachtsmen. The price we pay for
a vacation is shortly forgotten, but it is the
quality of your experience that remains etched in
your mind forever. This is priceless, and
in our busy world today we have forgotten the
reason for our annual vacation. Magic
Memories.
Come and have
fun with us! It costs you
nothing!
President &
guide Mr. Reiss Penn.
